Check the thermostat is set to cool and below room temperature. Replace a dirty air filter, which restricts airflow and can freeze the coil.
Make sure the outdoor unit is running and clear of debris. Look at the breaker. If ice has formed on the indoor line, turn the system off and let it thaw.
Check the condensate drain: in Florida a clogged drain line can trip a safety switch and shut the system down. If none of this works, call an HVAC technician.
